Selection Process

The most satisfied customers are those who have made their stone selections from the hundreds of full slabs on display at our facilities. Our indoor showrooms are available weekdays from 8:00-5:00, and Saturdays from 9:00-12:00. Appointments are not necessary, but if you have special requirements, please call ahead to ensure our ability to meet your needs.

Each new container of stone received by Fleet Imports brings unique new design opportunities available for you to choose from. Every color - including the tighter grain materials such as Ubatuba, St. Cecilia, and Butterfly - can vary drastically from week to week. It is VERY IMPORTANT to consider the time line of your project before visiting our showrooms to make your FINAL stone selection.

For new construction projects we recommend making final selections one week before the base cabinets are scheduled for installation.
For remodeling projects we recommend making the final selections one week before the installer is scheduled to template for the counter tops.

Although customers are always welcome to visit our facilities and get design ideas, following the suggested time line ensures material availability of the exact lot you have chosen.

When visiting our selection centers, we encourage you to bring samples of your cabinets, flooring, paint, or other decorative items needed to compliment your design ideas. With hundreds of colors to consider, bringing these samples helps to visualize and narrow down preferences of color and style. Bringing along a camera is also a good idea so you have the ability to take home several different pictures of possible choices.

Upon arrival, every client is assigned a knowledgeable, professional Selection Coordinator to assist you through the natural stone selection process. Customers are given a tour of the facility, information on the natural stone quarrying process and a brief description of the services we offer. Visitors will be asked to provide basic information such as their name and who they are working with. To ensure prompt communication of selection information, it is important to provide us with the telephone and fax numbers of the person or organization that referred you to Fleet Imports.

Clients are permitted to view materials at their own leisure and are welcome to ask as many questions as they would like - our staff is available every step of the way. At Fleet Imports, customer service is our top priority!
